TERM 3

Ta daaaaa! Term 3 is already here and as usual we have some big sporting events on the calender. The spectacular day that is the Lightning Premiership is to be held at Worrell Reserve in Emerald on the 4th of August followed closely by the Girls Footy Day at Gembrook on the 24th of August.  So don’t let winter get you down… get out there and enjoy all the great winter sports.

Tip for the term: Hawthorn for September glory.

Grade 6 Basketball Day

Start shooting hoops! Basketball is back with a vengeance and Wednesday the 16th of June will be the day. It will be held at the Knox Basketball Stadium in Boronia. Be there!

Cross Country Success!

A top effort by all the kids from Maccy and Menzies! We have 12 kids from Maccy and 4 from Menzies heading off to the zone cross country on the 1st of June at Sydney  Pargetter Reserve in Endeavour Hills.

Cross Country @ Cockatoo this Friday!

First race is at 11am! Get set for a great day with a new (faster!) course. The forecast is looking fine but bring a change of clothes just in case.

I hope he brought a change of clothes!

EDEC! Champions! Winners! Improvers! Woo hoo!

Wow!!!! What a term of athletics! Both Menzies Creek and Macclesfield cleaned up at the EDEC athletics carnival on Tuesday the 23rd of March. Check out the schools pages for more info!

World’s Greatest Shave!

It’s on Friday the 19th of March so get those clippers out and get ready. Mr Chiswell (Maccy) is shaving off his beard for the first time in over 30 years and half the teachers at Menzies Creek will be looking like punks! We have a couple of sporty champions to mention.  Well done to Amy and Kirsten who’ve made it through to state level for the 1500m and Javelin respectively. Good luck!

EDEC Swimming

The EDEC swimming trials were held at the Belgrave Pool on Tuesday the 2nd of March. The kids from Maccy and Menzies dominated the days events taking out 19 of the 29 events.  They represent EDEC at the Doveton in the Park pool on Friday the 5th of March. Good luck superfishies!
